Maple Bowtie Table
Consisting of 33 to be exact, no 2 bowties are the same. Each vary with their own unique size and shape, with their only similarity being that each was crafted from american black walnut.
After the bowties were inlaid into this once fragile slab of figured maple, epoxy was utilized to fill cracks and voids to ensure a smooth dining surface, while leaving the main crack with some air to breath.
The tabletop was then finished with hardwax oils and rested upon a custom spider base to complete this statement piece.
